The orphanage «  perce - neige » in the district of Polissé, near the zone of exclusion, is partially funded by the French association « Les enfants de Chernobyl ». All the children there have some tie with the nuclear disaster of Chernobyl. Some are orphan of deceased parents. Others come from the numerous families who have been displaced and who, for lack of means, cannot take care anymore of their children.
